Natural Vitamin E consists mainly of two groups of beneficial phytochemical components, the tocopherols and tocotrienols. Both groups consist 4 members’ – The alpha, beta, delta and gamma. While tocopherols are more abundant in nature in vegetable oils, germs, nuts and grains, tocotrienols are less common with their four members existing in low amount. Recent studies on tocotrienols have unveiled their more superior beneficial properties to human body than tocopherols. The anti-oxidant activity of tocotrienols alone is about 400- 600 times stronger than tocopherols.
